Ako is a normal Japanese school girl. The year is 2002 and things are going well. She has a loving family, some close friends and a larger circle of acquaintances. She coaches a boy's soccer team, plays bass guitar in a band with some class mates and acts as the nurse's aid for the class. Almost completely average.

Then things start changing. She gets a new teacher, from Wales. A ten year old named Negi Springfield. Strange things occur all over the campus and beyond, seemingly centered on her classmates and teacher. It takes time for it to become clear, but she's just started her first, unknowing steps down the rabbit hole.

And she never gets to spend any real amount of time with her crush Nagi, her teacher's cousin. It's frustrating.
